Built around the Intel Xeon E-2400 processor platform and a genuine server-grade ASRock Rack motherboard, this system combines ECC DDR5 memory, twelve hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive bays, a Broadcom 9400-16i 12Gb HBA and redundant power supplies.

Flexible Storage and RAID Configuration
The server features twelve front-accessible hot-swap drive bays, allowing storage drives to be installed, replaced or upgraded without removing the system from its rack.
The Broadcom HBA is standard, with drives passed through to the operating system for ZFS, Storage Spaces and other software-defined storage solutions. Storage drives are specified and quoted separately, allowing customers to select the capacity and drive type most appropriate for their application.
A hardware RAID controller is available as a quoted option for customers requiring dedicated controller-based RAID and the appropriate protection level for their workload.
A Tri-Mode / NVMe backplane is available as an upgrade for customers needing U.2 or mixed NVMe storage. The chassis depth is approximately 660 mm and is a full-depth rackmount system.

Please note: RAID provides protection against certain drive failures but does not replace a separate backup strategy.

- Broadcom Host Bus Adapter: A Broadcom 9400-16i 12Gb HBA in IT mode provides standard drive passthrough for flexible software-defined storage.
- Independent NVMe System Drive: A dedicated 500GB NVMe SSD for operating system installation, keeping the main storage bays available for data drives.
- Redundant Power Supplies: Two hot-swappable 800W power supply modules provide power redundancy.
- Hot-Swap Storage: Twelve front-accessible drive carriers simplify drive replacement and maintenance.
- Rackmount Ready: Supplied with a compatible rack rail kit for installation into a suitable server cabinet.

Operating systems, installation requirements and applicable licences can be discussed during quotation.
PRO-X specialises in hardware configuration, assembly and testing. Ongoing operating system administration and software support are not included.
