Flexible Storage and RAID Configuration

The server features eight front-accessible hot-swap drive bays, allowing storage drives to be installed, replaced or upgraded without removing the system from its rack.

Storage drives are specified and quoted separately, allowing customers to select the capacity and drive type most appropriate for their application.

Unlike fixed-configuration storage appliances, the PRO-X server offers a choice of RAID solutions.

Intel VROC SATA RAID

The onboard Intel storage controller provides RAID functionality without requiring a separate hardware RAID card. Supported RAID configurations depend on the number of drives and RAID level selected.

Dedicated RAID Controller

For customers requiring a dedicated storage controller, the system can be supplied with a suitable hardware RAID card, selected according to the required drive configuration and RAID level.

Our team can advise on suitable hardware configurations before quotation.

Please note: RAID provides protection against certain drive failures but does not replace a separate backup strategy.

Server-Grade Hardware

Unlike conventional desktop-based storage systems, the PRO-X 8-Bay Server uses hardware designed for professional server applications.

  • ECC DDR5 Memory: Error-correcting memory, supplied as 32GB standard with upgrades to 64GB or 128GB.
  • Independent NVMe System Drive: A dedicated 500GB NVMe SSD for operating system installation, keeping the main storage bays available for data drives.
  • Redundant Power Supplies: Two hot-swappable 800W power supply modules provide power redundancy.
  • Hot-Swap Storage: Eight front-accessible drive carriers simplify drive replacement and maintenance.
  • Rackmount Ready: Supplied with a compatible rack rail kit for installation into a suitable server cabinet.
